Our CME program is supported through a generous donation by the Pulsifer family.

In keeping with the purpose of the Rochester Academy of Medicine mission statement, the Continuing Medical Education (CME) committee is dedicated to cultivate and advance the science and art of medicine, to provide quality educational opportunities for physicians and healthcare professionals with dispersed locations in which they practice medicine. These educational activities are designed to foster the development of skills and knowledge in medicine and related fields, to promote standards of care, facilitate the translation of medical and scientific research into the delivery of quality patient care for physicians, healthcare professionals, and in appropriate instances patients and public consumers.

The content of educational activities is to be accurate, current, and objectively presented to physicians and allied healthcare professionals. It should define the educational needs based on identified professional gaps. The Rochester Academy of Medicine CME committee will provide educational activities that meet the criteria for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ as designated by the Medical Society of the State of New York (MSSNY). The CME Committee will ensure that the content of all sponsored and jointly sponsored CME activities meet the essential areas, standards, and policies of the Accreditation Council Of The Office Of Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), and other standards established by the New York State Medical Society committee on continuing medical education. Educational activities may include advances in clinical medicine, clinical research, public health, medical ethics, law, economics, and other related topics.

Community based physicians, school of medicine faculty, affiliated hospitals attending physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, nurses, and nursing students and all allied healthcare professionals i.e. social workers, dietitian, and all the technical support.
